Her Royal Highness Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck Graces the Signing of the MoU Between the Bhutan Paralympic Committee and Bhutan Insurance Limited
On 8 December, 2025 the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Bhutan Paralympic Committee and Bhutan Insurance Limited (BIL) was graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Eeuphelma Choden Wangchuck, President of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee. This occasion marks a significant milestone in the national effort to promote and advance sports for persons with disabilities in Bhutan.
The presence of Her Royal Highness reflects the unwavering commitment to strengthening inclusive sports and empowering para-athletes across the country. The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Sonam Karma Tshering, Secretary General of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee, and Mr. Karma Lotey, Chairman of Bhutan Insurance Limited, representing their respective organizations in this important partnership.
The MoU establishes a strategic partnership through which Bhutan Insurance Limited will provide sponsorship and essential support to the Bhutan Paralympic Committee in strengthening para-sports initiatives. This collaboration will greatly contribute to enhancing athlete development programs, expanding training opportunities, and improving the overall preparation of Bhutanese para-athletes as they gear up for the 2026 Aichi- Nagoya Asian Para Games, Japan.
