Bhutan Confirms Participation in the 5th Asian Youth Para Games Dubai 2025
The Bhutan Paralympic Committee is proud to announce Bhutan’s confirmed participation in the upcoming 5th Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) Dubai 2025, scheduled to take place from December 7 to 14, 2025.
Organized by the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, this edition of the Games will be held under the inspiring theme “Born to Rise”—a message that celebrates the spirit, resilience, and rising talent of young para-athletes across Asia.
More than 1,500 athletes, aged 14 to 20, from over 45 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) are expected to compete. The Games will feature 11 core sports, each selected to advance participation, performance, and talent development in Asian para-sport:
Athletics
Swimming
Powerlifting
Taekwondo
Archery
Table Tennis
Badminton
Wheelchair Basketball
Boccia
Goalball
Armwrestling
The Bhutan Paralympic Committee will proudly represent the nation in two disciplines: Athletics and Badminton.
Bhutan’s participation marks a significant step in strengthening the country’s footprint in continental para-sport development.
As the countdown to Dubai 2025 begins, Bhutan stands ready to embody the essence of the theme—Born to Rise—and inspire the next generation of para-athletes at home and across the region.
