Para-Sports Awareness to Mothithang Higher Secondary School

Continuing its nationwide initiative to promote inclusion through sports, the Bhutan Paralympic Committee (BPC) conducted Day 2 of its Para-Sports Awareness Program at Mothithang Higher Secondary School.

The event offered students a rare and meaningful opportunity to not only learn about the world of para-sports but to actively engage in adapted sports activities designed to simulate the experiences of athletes with disabilities. With curiosity and energy, students enthusiastically participated in games that challenged their perceptions, deepened empathy, and highlighted the strength behind adaptive sports.

The atmosphere on campus was one of excitement and discovery. Through hands-on experiences, interactive discussions, and peer learning, the program fostered a sense of community, inclusion, and respect. Students walked away not just entertained but educated and inspired.

BPC is proud to see the growing interest and positive response from schools across Bhutan. Through initiatives like these, we aim to empower the next generation to build a more inclusive, compassionate, and active society—on and off the field.

The Committee extends its heartfelt gratitude to the school leadership, teachers, and students of Mothithang Higher Secondary School for their enthusiastic involvement and support.
