The 6th Paralympic Festival 2025 successfully concluded yesterday at the Thimphu Athletics Stadium, leaving behind a trail of joy, inspiration, and unity. Held under the theme “Para Sports in Action,” the festival brought together over 450 children with disabilities from Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Thimphu and Paro. They were supported by 100 enthusiastic student volunteers and cheered on by hundreds of guests, parents, and well-wishers.

On the warm invitation of the Bhutan Paralympic Committee, we are honoured to welcome the esteemed delegates from the Korean Paralympic Committee who are here in Bhutan to attend the 6th Paralympic Festival 2025.

On the eve of the highly anticipated 6th Paralympic Festival 2025, set to take place at Thimphu Athletics Stadium, a delegation from the Korean Paralympic Committee paid a visit to the Bhutan Shooting Federation, fostering a moment of camaraderie, shared expertise, and mutual inspiration.

On April 26, 2019, Bhutan witnessed a historic milestone — the nation’s very first Paralympic Day, held at the Athletics Stadium in Thimphu. It was a moment that stitched together hearts, abilities, and dreams under one sky, uniting 160 children with disabilities and 140 of their peers in a celebration of spirit, movement, and mutual respect.
